Start by outlining the budget tools, team, timing and information that will be shared with managers.
- Tools – What financial budget models will you use?
- Team – Who is leading the budget process?
- Timing – When will you start / finish the financial plan?
- Information – How will details flow to (and from) your managers?
The key to getting budget buy-in from managers is to set clear expectations, provide support and structure, and deliver practical financial literacy training.
